One can wipe the face off with a dry tissue in the morning without a wash. If no oil no dryness is there on the skin it's a normal skin.

Oily Skin
A good skin type but it requires firm and gentle handling. It has a oily surface caused due to secretion of oils, having larger pores and more visible and, due to the excess oil, there's more of a tendency toward pimples, blackheads, whiteheads etc. Oily skin has an advantage of ageing very slowly.

* Deep cleansing must be thorough.
* Avoid the use of harsh astringents that strip the skin of all its natural oil and moisture.

Dry Skin
Dry skin has a thin texture and looks visibly dry when natural. This type of skin has parched appearance and tendency to flake easily. Dry skin often has problems in cold weathers and ages faster than normal skin. Dry skin needs lots of water to hydrate the skin, as it requires lots of moister as the body produces less sebum then required by the body.

Skin care

* Cleansing, toning, moisturizing form an integral routine of this type of skin.
* Any friction on this skin type causes it to get drier and itchy.
* Avoid using harsh perfumed skin products
* Regular monitoring, combined with a generous application of moisturizer will produce a skin which would be on par with the ‘enviable’ peaches and cream complexion.

Combination Skin
As the word ‘combination’ suggests it is mix of two different skin types on one face. this skin is somewhere dry and somewhere oily. The term "T-zone" refers to combination skin types where the forehead, nose and chin are oily but the cheeks and the area around the eyes is either normal or dry. Caring for combination skin-wash it off with mild cleanser. Use astringent on the oily part of the face.

Skin care

* Combination skin needs scrupulous cleansing.
* It is a good idea to use a face mask for oily skin down the T panel and a mask for dry skin for the rest of the face.
* This method of treating the combination skin works ideally to give a perfect & balanced effect.

Sensitive Skin
This type of skin has very fine texture and are sensitive to changes in the climate. This skin is sensitive to dirt, dust, sun, bleaching, waxing, threading, perfumes and most of the cream, soaps and lotions. It gets itching, redness and patches on it.
